CBSE Workshop on Value Education


Ms. Chetna and Ms. Anjali Rana attended CBSE Workshop for Value Education at CBSE Office, Patparganj. The resource person, Dr. R.D. Mohan started the session by discussing the major reason of degeneration of values. He informed about the Neuro Linguistic exercises which helps the person to look within themselves, their thoughts, weaknesses and strengths.

Goenkan Hindi teachers Ms. Nisha Saini & Ms. Mala Mishra attended  two days (23.07.19-24.07.19) CBSE Workshop on the topic Class X Hindi. The resource person Mr. Vinod Kumar Chauhan and Mrs. Shiksha Kaushik highlighted the importance of marking scheme, standard usage of regular words and teaching grammar using creative techniques.

Workshop on Leadership Styles


Workshop on Leadership Styles for Classes Nur- V and Activity Teachers was conducted by Ms Alka Agnihotri. The basic attributes of teaching were discussed. The leading styles and types of leadership skills and their application in the classroom and the work scenario were discussed in detail. How the teachers can inspire others through their desired goals also formed a part of the discussion in the workshop.

Orientation Programme on the provisions of new Act on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities


Ms. Anjali Rana attended the workshop on the provisions of new Act on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, DESAR, 1973 & RTE Act, 2009 at Thyagraj Stadium on 09.01.19. The resource person Ms. Tuli (Amar Jyoti) and Mr. T.D Dhariyal (Commissioner of Protection of Children with Disability, Delhi) made the participants aware about the rights of disabled people. The workshop also focused on Inclusive Education-one education that caters to the need for all disabled or marginalized boys and girls.

Workshop at GDGPS, Vasant Kunj


Ms. Priya Anish, Ms. Aruni Sehgal, Ms. Sunayna Kwatra, Ms. Mansi Matta and Mr. Kapil Tyagi attended the 3 days subject related workshop (26.12.18-28.12.18) at GDGPS, Vasant Kunj. The resource person shared some innovative methods and techniques to make addition, subtraction, multiplication and tables easy to understand. 5 E's of learning (Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate and Evaluate) were detailed through various activities and worksheets.

Measles Rubella Vaccination Campaign


Directorate ofrnEducation organised meeting on Measles Rubella Vaccination Campaign at GDGPS, East Delhi for the Principals of other schools. Dept. of Health & Education arernpartnering for the vaccination for all children aged between 9 months to 15rnyears. Principals of 24 Govt. Schools, 8 Govt. Aided schools and 34 Publicrnschools attended this meeting.

CBSE Capacity Building Programme on Science -Class X


Ms. Priyanka Joshi & Ms. Simi George attended a two day (29.10.18-30.10.18) CBSE Capacity Building Programme on Science for Class X at Bal Bhavan Public School, Mayur Vihar. The concept of different teaching strategies were made clear with the help of various activities. Bloom's Taxonomy and the importance of making lesson plan was reinforced in the workshop. 

Workshop on Physical Education


Mr. Arun Yadav, Physical Education teacher attended a Workshop on Physical Education conducted by Forum of Public Schools at Remal Public School, Rohini Sec-3. The resource person, Mr. Mukesh Kohli from CBSE, started the session with introduction and importance of sports & activities to remain healthy. The teachers were also informed about new pattern of health & physical education for classes IX-XII. 

Science Workshop


Ms. Aarti Malhotra & Ms. Manini Gaur attended Science Workshop arranged by Macmillan at Clarks Inn, Pacific Mall. It was about Structured approach to teaching and science hands on activities in the classroom given by Mr. Jyoti Patrick. Many Science topics like adaption , light , pressure, rotation etc. were introduced through activities. Theses activities can be conducted with simple materials available to us. Overall, it was on how to initiate discussion, give feedback to students while introducing a topic in the class. 

Special Assembly on 'Explore our Country' - Class III-B


Students of class III-B conducted a Special Assembly on topic "Explore our Country", wherein they presented a state tourism. The students came dressed as the natives of the different states like Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Kerala, Kolkata etc. The students explained and portrayed the special tourism attractions in different states on stage.
